Infancy and childhood are periods of rapid growth and change.  As vaccine-preventable diseases recede and sanitation and nutrition improve, care for young children is changing rapidly as well.  Much of well child care now focuses on child behavior and development.

Developmental screening helps to reassure families with typically developing children, and to identify those with developmental needs at an early age.  Using a standardized, validated developmental screening tool helps to identify children who may have developmental disabilities, and also to target well child visits to address parental concerns.

Best Care for Kids assists practices to incorporate the use of the PEDS or ASQ screening tools into routine practice.  Both online and in-person training is available.
