The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Committee coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the CME program and its individual activities to ensure quality and consistency in the content development and design process as well as to provide oversight for the accreditation of the CME program. Their primary role is to ensure that the programs remain on the leading edge of pediatric continuing medical education and to recommend new directions and/or initiatives for AzAAP continuous learning opportunities.
In the past two years, the AzAAP CME Committee helped to plan several activities including:
- 32nd Annual Pediatrics in the Red Rocks (Live Activity in June, 2009)
- Strategies for Early Identification in Adolescent Substance Use (Live Activity in October, 2010)
- Open Forum: Early Childhood Intervention (Live Activity in November, 2010)
- Partnering with Pediatricians for Healthy Living and Drug Free Kids (Web-based activity now available)
- 33rd Annual Pediatrics in the Red Rocks (Live Activity in June, 2010)
