BEST  CARE  FOR  KIDS  PROGRAM

azaap

The mission of Best Care for Kids is to improve the health of Arizona's children and to strengthen the primary care system in Arizona by assisting pediatric and family medicine practices throughout the state to deliver the highest possible quality of care to their infant, child, and adolescent patients and grow a health care system that supports this care.

Best Care for Kids projects help our participants to continually improve the quality and efficiency of their practice through:

  1. Identifying aims and targeting goals for change
  2. Measuring what they are currently doing
  3. Creating a plan for change
  4. Measuring results, revising and re-evaluating  actions to be sure that change has resulted in improvement

Through a grant from First Things First, Arizona’s early childhood health and development agency, Best Care for Kids will coach practices through a self-evaluation process using parent and office-management surveys.  Using these results, practices can use simple, proven quality improvement techniques to “tune-up” your office’s work flows and systems.

Best Care for Kids will work with you and your staff on topics that you identify as a result of the self-evaluation.  We will also help you develop health outcomes data that will assist in Medical Home certification, if desired, or simply prove your worth in health plan negotiations.
